You're invited to a sneak peek hayride and nature hike at Valle de Oro, the Southwest’s first urban national wildlife refuge Saturday, June 21, 2014...  9 a.m.–Noon. Grab your binoculars and join The Trust for Public Land, Jennifer Owen-White, refuge manager and Teri Jillson, president of the Friends of Valle de Oro Urban National Wildlife Refuge, for a hayride and guided birding and naturewalk at the Southwest's only urban national wildlife refuge before it is open to the public. Come explore the beautiful land you've helped to protect. Join a bike group at Tingley Beach or meet us at the refuge. Held rain or shine, this free event is family friendly. A variety of delicious lunch options will be available for purchase from a popular local food truck. More trip details provided upon RSVP. Space is limited.
