Hi everyone!

Valle de Oro NWR is taking the lead on the Seasonal Sightings calendar this year, and it's time to round up the stars of the show: the calendar photos.

As you may be aware, Albuquerque is a 2014 Urban Migratory Bird Treaty City. With the goal of promoting awareness and understanding of migratory birds in our city, the 2015 calendar will focus on  the migratory birds we see here and the places we can see them.

Attached is a list of the birds and places for which we need photos. The birds in bold are those we'd like to feature for the month. The places and other birds will be used to round out the information and blank spaces on the calendar. Keep in mind that the featured photos will be printed on 8.5 x 11 paper at 300 dpi so they need to look good blown up to 2550 pixels x 3300 pixels.

Please dig into your photos (we know you have them!) and pick out a couple gems to share with Albuquerque! And, pass this info on to your photographically-inclined friends if you think they can help.

Thank you!
