Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge
Green Infrastructure Design Charrette
Saturday, February 25, 2017
9:00am - 12:00pm
at the Mountain View Community Center
A charrette is a design process for residents to participate directly in planning for their community. Bring your ideas, questions, and vision for how the Refuge can use green infrastructure to manage stormwater and use it as a resource at the planned Visitor Center.
Green infrastructure manages stormwater by using both the natural environment and engineered systems to provide clean water, protect the environment, and deliver other benefits to the community, such as shade trees, parks, and planted trails.
This workshop is sponsored by Amigos Bravos through a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency in partnership with Valle de Oro NWR and the Friends of Valle de Oro.
Refreshments will be provided
